Srinagar,  Mar 5: The Urs of Dastgeer Sahib  (RA) was celebrated Monday with devotion and reverence across the valley while the main functions were held at Khanyar and Saraibala shrines in the City.
 The night long prayer meetings were organised in all shrines in which special prayers were organised for the peace and prosperity of the state.
 In this regard the grand function was organised in Khanyar Srinagar in which thousands of devotees participated in night long prayers. The chief patron, Minhaj-ul-Islam delivered sermon on this occasion, while  the president of Jamiat-e-Himayat-ul-Islam Maulvi Khursheed Ahmed Qanungo shed light on the life of Dastgeer Sahib  (RA).
 Similar function was held at Sarai Bala in which thousands of devotees participated in night long prayers.
