JKATA condemns action on ReZs
Srinagar, Mar 5: J and K Agricultural Technocrats Association (JKATA) has condemned the use of force on the Rehbar-e-Zirats in Jammu today.
In a statement, spokesmen of the Association and Forum said the ReZs had staged a peaceful rally from Press Club to Secretariat in Jammu to press for amendment of the regularisation policy.
“The ReZs were stopped by the heavy deployment of police at Jewel Chowk. They were not allowed to move beyond Jewel Chowk and 250 of them were arrested,” the statement said.
It said the arrested ReZS included Dr Khursheed Ahmad, Dr Reyaz Rather, Dr Shakeel Ahmad, Dr Altaf Wani and Dr Surinder Radotra.
