'Togadia mentally sick'

Srinagar, Mar 6: Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik on Tuesday condemned, what he called, the anti-Muslim remarks made by the President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Parveen Togadia in Jammu’s Rajouri district.
Terming Togadia as a ‘mentally sick’ person, Malik said, “He needs a psychiatric treatment.”
“It is not a new thing for Hindu fanatics like Togadia to make hate-speech against Muslims. But question is why the so-called liberal journalists, intellectuals and civil societies, who always write and speak against the policies of Hindu extremists, remained silent over the hate-statement made by Togadia in Jammu Kashmir,” said Malik, in a statement. “Islam teaches the lessons of co-existence, international peace and brotherhood. The Muslims of Jammu Kashmir can never be overawed by the incendiary remarks of Togadia,” he said. “Togadia had earlier also made derogatory remarks about the Hazratbal shrine and a case was registered against him,” said Malik, adding, “But we do not known how he (Togadia) was permitted to offend the sentiments of majority community again in Kashmir.”
