7 day Special Olympics Athletics event concludes
Jammu, Mar 8: Seven days Special Olympics athletics events organized by JK Chapter of Special Olympics Bharat (SOB) concluded here today.
The aim of the organizing the event was to explore the hidden talent of persons with Intellectual Disabilities through the medium of Sports as dreamt by late Eunice Shriver Kenneddy, founder of Special Olympics International.
Sports Minister R S Chib who is also Chief Patron of Special Olympics Bharat JK was the chief guest at the Valedictory function.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister hoped for bright future of Special athletics of various states of the country who participated in the weeklong event. He also lauded the unique selfless efforts of Special Olympics Bharat J&K Chapter and extended his whole hearted support to SOB movement in the State for such a noble cause.
