Treat women at par with males: DPN
Srinagar, Mar 8: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN ) organized a function in which a large number of women participated.
On the occasion, the speakers emphasized on the holistic growth, education of girl child and political empowerment of women in particular.
A DPN spokesman said the party General Secretary Farooq Jan said, “The doors of DPN are not only open to women who want to fight the elections on reserved women seats but we also would welcome competent and committed women to join the party and participate in elections as general candidates,” he said.
Shehzadi Simon, the chief spokesperson of DPN while addressing the gathering said, “We need to treat the girl child at par with her male siblings in every respect as women constitute half the population of the world.”
