Army organises medical camp for physically challenged
Srinagar, Apr 30: A medical Camp for the physically challenged people of Bandipora was organised by 14 Rashtriya Rifles of Patiala Brigade in collaboration with Americares India.
A team of doctors from army and Americares attended the patients.
Twenty wheel chairs were distributed to the physically challenged people.
A statement said Gulshana Begam of Watpora thanked Army and Americares for providing them the wheel chairs and prayed to the almighty for everybody’s well being.
Brigadier Anil Puri hailed Americares on behalf of the people of Bandipora and requested Dr Parekh of Americares to continue providing succors to the people of Bandipora by organising such medical camps in collaboration with Army and civil administration. On this occasion fifty solar lights were also distributed to enable people from far flung areas to light up their houses and charge the mobiles.
In addition 60 hearing aids were also distributed at Kharpura. Fifty percent of hearing aids were given to students from special school in Hajin, Sumbal and Srinagar.
