Court frames charges against accused
FAKE PRC CASE
Jammu, May 9: Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Pawan Dev Kotwal has framed charges against a Naib Tehsilar and other accused facing trail in a fake PRC scam case.
The accused Parasram, Mangat Ram, Devi Ditta, Ramesh Kumar have been charged for fraud, forgery and criminal conspiracy, while Naib Tehsildar Girdhari Lal Megni Court has been charged under Section 5(1) (d) r/w section 5(2) PC Act 2006. The court also discharged Kuldeep Kumar from the charges leveled against him.
According to the Crime Branch case mother of Parasram, Mangat Ram and grand mother of Devi Ditta, Ramesh Kumar and Kuldeep Kumar was non state-subject but she obtained Permanent Resident certificate by fraud in the year 1964.
The then Revenue Officers and Girdhari Lal Mengi then Naib Tehsildar recommended the issuance of the certificate in her favour in contravention to the rules.
The accused have also alleged on the basis of false statements, affidavits and manipulated copy of electoral roll and censes 1951 obtained PRCs fraudulently after hatching conspiracy with the revenue officers.
