Gandhi College organises cycle race
Srinagar, May 9: Gandhi Memorial College organized its 39th annual college cycle race for boys from Nehru Park to Zanul Abbidin Budshah Gate Kashmir University here on Wednesday.
The race was flagged off by the college Principal Prof. S Rabia Firdous.
To ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the race, the staff members were deployed at various points.
Adil Farooq of B.A. final year finished first with the timing of 23 minutes while Ashfaq Majeed of B.A second year and Muhammad Nafee of B.A. final year finished second & third respectively. Prize distribution ceremony was held at Naseem Bagh Park.
On the occasion, Madam Principal highlighted the importance of sports and games.
She also hailed the efforts of Physical Education Department of the college for organizing the activities to the best of their ability.
