Drang Khag (Budgam) May 9: Sleuths of Bomb Disposal Squad diffused a mortar shell in this central Kashmir village on Wednesday, locals said.
They said that they had informed the Army about the live shell at Drang a few days before but it was defused this afternoon by the BDS members.
Pertinently, Army has been conducting mortar, bofors shelling training in the Tosamaidan area since 1965 during summers as part of the artillery drill and sometimes many bombs and shells remain unexploded. Till date many people have died in the accidental blasts.
