We don’t need certificates: Lone, Bhat

Srinagar, May 9: Reacting sharply to the rumors that some members of Hurriyat Conference (M) may fight the 2014 assembly elections, senior leaders of the conglomerate on Wednesday said they don’t need anybody’s certificate.
Talking to Greater Kashmir, Senior Hurriyat (M) leader and Peoples Conference Chairman Bilal Gani Lone said, “Nobody is on high moral pedestal nor I think I need certificate of anybody. I don’t know whom these elements want to make happy by spreading these canards and lies,” he said adding that he is committed to take the cause of his father to its logical conclusion.
‘I have chosen my path in 2002. I have taken my stand. No one has the right to ask me anything. I am answerable to myself and to my God,” he added.
Another senior leader of Hurriyat (M) and Muslim Conference Chief, Professor Abdul Gani Bhat said, “This is taking to a person who isn’t be.”
Interestingly it was his statement that UN resolutions are inapplicable in Jammu and Kashmir and separatists should join hands with mainstream parties for resolving Kashmir issue snowballed into a major controversy.
Even the meeting of Hurriyat Conference (M) executive council had run into rough weather on Tuesday.
