Traffic signals

This refers to the steps taken by the government to install traffic signals in the city. The decision to put up traffic signals at Kara Nagar tri-junction, leading to S.M.H.S Hospital on one side and road leading to Medical College/Habba Kadal on the other, will create chaos and confusion. I was caught up for nearly 30 minutes near that junction. Along with civilian vehicles a couple of ambulances were also stuck there. The concerned authorities should put up traffic signals in an integrated manner throughout the uptown. Till then the lone signal should not operate, at least for the sake of emergency vehicles carrying critical patients.
