LOC will fall like Berlin wall: Yasin Malik
NISAR AHMED THOKAR
Islamabad, May 13: The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik on Sunday said “artificial” Line of Control (LoC) dividing two Kashmirs would crumble like the Berlin Wall.
“The day is not far when this artificial wall (ceasefire-line) will break down as aspirations of the people of JK are one and their hearts throb in unison,” Malik said while addressing a public gathering at Pakistan administered Kashmir’s eastern district headquarter Bagh.
The JKLF chief was of the view that no power can stop Kashmiris from achieving their cherished goal for which they have rendered unprecedented sacrifices. He maintained that Kashmiris have started a peaceful movement and it was now incumbent on peace loving people of the world to reciprocate Kashmiris’ peace overtures positively to help resolve the issue amicably in line with their aspirations.
Malik said, “Kashmir is a political dispute, however, the world must not ignore its humanitarian dimension as this conflict has consumed Kashmiris’ four generations and people on both sides have suffered terribly.”
Malik while visiting the mountainous region was accorded huge reception as people hailing from different walks of life including men, women and school going children turned out in huge numbers to greet the front Chairman upon his arrival in the area. The roads and buildings were decorated with big banners, posters and pictures of Front leaders.
