Quality nutrition to be provided in Anganwari Centres: SW Director
Udhampur, May 13- To review the functioning of Social Welfare Department, Director Social Welfare MH Bhatti convened a meeting of officers and officials of District Social Welfare Department and ICDS Projects of district Udhampur today
In the meeting, a detailed review was held on various issues which mainly include revised proposed list of anganwari centres to be opened in the uncovered areas, district and block wise up to date status of the selection process of anganwari workers and helpers. .
On the occasion Bhatti stressed upon the officers to monitor the functioning of Anganwari Centres by conducting regular inspections. He directed them to submit tour diaries in advance and work done statements to the programme Officers and Director Social Welfare.
He directed the concerned officials to ensure the availability of quality nutrition in all the Anganwari Centres. He said the nutrition shall be given to the beneficiaries strictly as per the prescribed scale and weekly recipe.
