Work on 5 bridges in progress in Habba Kadal

Shamim hails CM for support

Srinagar May 13: Chairperson State Women’s Commission and MLA, Habba Kadal, Shamim Firdous Sunday said that Government is committed to provide equal development opportunities in all parts of the State.
 She said coalition government led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is making all possible efforts to provide basic amenities in Habba Kadal constituency. Shamin was addressing a public meeting at Gadood Bagh in Habba Kadal this morning.
 “The CM is keen to see assess pace of development in Habba Kadal,” she said.
 Shamim said that road widening and other development works will be completed within two months in the area. She said that work is in progress on three vital bridges at Barbar Shah, old Habba Kadal and Tankipora, besides foot bridges at Karfali Mohalla and Khonakhan. She also said that two community halls are being constructed at Baghwanpora and Kheer Zamanwari.
 “After construction of the bridge Habba Kadal will be closer to Lal Chowk. The area will be one of the major commercial hubs of the City,” she said. 
 Referring to employment of educated youth, Shamim said that Government is fully aware of this problem for which steps will be taken soon.
