2 die, 10 injured in road accidents
Srinagar, May 14: Two persons died while 10 others were injured in a various road accidents across Kashmir Valley today.
A police spokesman in a statement said a Maruti Van (Jk05-2801) hit and injured a five years old boy Faheem Ahmad son of Khazir Muhammad Shah at Kachwari Handwara. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Handwara where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police said a woman Jana Begum wife of Muhammad Abdullah Wagay resident of Hassanpora, Arwani, who was injured in a road accident at Bijbehara, succumbed to her injuries at SKIMS Soura.
Police said a Tipper (JK04A/3971) hit a road side shop belonging to Ghulam Nabi Mir son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Kralpora, Chadoora, resulting in injuries to the Tipper Driver, Arshad Ahmad Bhat son of Sidiq Ahmad resident of Batpora Chadoora. The shop was partial damage din the incident.
A Tata Sumo (JK01L-8356) turned turtle at Saidpora Bridge Uri, resulting in injuries to five passengers.
