Srinagar, May 15: The Finance Department today said that the fresh pension cases of retirees from Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils and Municipal Committees shall be settled by the respective Divisions, Examiner/CAO, local Fund audit and pensions.
In a statement here today the department said: “All the concerned Institutions and retiring employees of the Urban and Local Bodies (U&LB) are as such informed that in future all the correspondence relating to settlement of pension cases, rendition of accounts, etc be made with the respective Examiners as well as the Directorate of Local Fund Audit and pensions.”
“However, the Directorate of Local Fund Audit and Pensions, being a move office is at present temporarily functioning from Accounts and Treasury Complex, Haft Chinar, Srinagar which has to be finally shifted to Old Secretariat premises after completion of the renovation work there,” it said.
Pertinently, the Directorate has been established in House No 55-New Rehari behind Shankuntala Theatre in Jammu and old Secretariat premises in Srinagar(Kashmir).
