High Court admits petition filed by local fund employees
Srinagar, May 16: The High Court has admitted the petition filed by local fund employees of the higher education seeking regularization of their services.
A bench of Justice Hasnain Massodi while admitting the petition directed the respondents to file counter to it within three weeks. The court asked for filing rejoinder, if any, within one week after the counter was filed and directed for listing the case after four weeks.
The local fund employees of the Higher education department have a plea that they been working in different colleges of the Valley for last more than 20 years but their services have not been regularized hitherto.
Their counsel, Mian Abdul Qayoom, argued that government has already considered regularization of consolidated workers, adhoc employees and employees working against migration vacancies but the regularization of the employees working in Higher Education department has not been ignored.
