Islamabad Thang-Ta Championship concludes
Srinagar, May 17: The two-day district Anantnag (Islamabad) Thang-Ta championship organised by District Islamabad Thang-Ta Association concluded at Government Higher secondary school, Arwani on Thursday.
In the event, around 200 players participated and competitions were held in both senior and junior categories in both boys and girls section.
On the concluding day, boys competitions were held. In junior 48-kilogram category, Adil Ahmad Ganie, Aqib Ahmad Waza and Adil Aijaz Ganie bagged first three positions. In junior 56-kilogram category, Nisar Ahmad Ganie, Muhammad Ishrat, Muhammad Owais Malik bagged first three positions.
In junior 52-kilogram category, Rouf Ahmad Ganie, Asgar Ahmad and Majid Ahmad bagged first three positions respectively while as in junior 60-kilogram category, Yawar Ahmad, Atif Ahmad Kaka and Shahzad Ahmad Dar bagged first three positions.
In senior 56-kilogram category, Shahjaar Ahamd Maqroo, Zubair Ahmad Dar and Shabir Ahmad bagged first, second and third places respectively while as in senior 60-kilogram category, Ahsanul Haq, Junaid Ahmnad and Umar Rashid bagged first three positions .
In senior 65-kilogram category, Muzamil Majid Bhat, Mukhtar Ahmad Mir and Amir Ahmad Malik bagged first three positions.
The event held under the auspices of J&K Thang-Ta Association and was sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
