Er Rasheed ridicules NC
Syed Yousuf death
Srinagar, May 1: Reacting to the outcome of magisterial probe into the death of National Conference (NC) activist Syed Muhammad Yousuf, MLA Langate Engineer Rasheed on Tuesday said the government and NC are basking in the “glory” of clean chit as if all the victims of state violence have got justice.
“Hundreds of probes announced by the successive governments into the killings, rapes, loot and arson by forces have been dumped into cold storage, mocking the very concept of peace and justice. After the magisterial inquiry exonerated the CM and his aides in Haji Yousuf death, the whole government circles and particularly NC is rejoicing in ecstasy, as if all the victims of state violence have got justice,” Er Rasheed said in a statement.
MLA Langate said the families of Wamiq Farooq, Zahid Farooq, Tufail Matto, Nazim Rasheed (Sopore) and many others are running from pillar to post to get the killers punished. “But the same government which is on cloud nine after the Haji Yousuf probe exonerated CM, has deliberately ignored them,” he added.
