Two matches played on Tuesday
V-C’S T20 CRICKET TOURNAMENT
Srinagar, May 1: In the ongoing Vice-Chancellor’s T20 cricket tournament two matches were played at Kashmir University ground here on Tuesday.
In the first match UCC defeated YCC Rainawari by 34 runs. Batting first UCC scored 132 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Suhail with 30 runs was highest scorer for them while Majid took three wickets for YCC.
In reply YCC could manage only 98 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Muzaffer with 25 was highest scorer for them while Parvez took two wickets for UCC. Suhail was adjudged as man of the match.
In the second match, Sofi-XI defeated FCC Hawal by 78 runs. Batting first, Sofi-XI scored 187 runs for the loss of five wickets. Sajad Sofi with 76 runs was highest scorer for them.
In reply FCC could score only 109 runs for the loss of eight wickets ion allotted overs. Arif with 28 runs was highest scorer for them while Mehfooz took two wickets for Sofi-XI. Sajad was adjudged as man of the match.
