COP AMONG 3 HELD FOR HAWALA TRANSACTIONS
Jammu, May 19: Police today claimed to have arrested three persons, including a cop, for allegedly involved in Hawala transactions. Rs five lakh Hawala money was recovered from their possession.
An official spokesman said that the accused were arrested while they were on way from Srinagar to Jammu alongwith the hawala consignment.
The accused have been identified as Zahid Latif (Police Constable) S/O Abdul Latief R/o Upper Gujjar, Taslim Irfan S/o Ghulam Qadir Sheikh R/o Mohalla Dalpatian, Jammu and Rakesh Kumar S/o Devi Dass R/o Shaheedi Chowk Jammu.
