KWS organizes free medical camp
Srinagar, May 20: Khatoon Welfare Society (KWS) Saturday organized a free health care camp at Batadalow village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The camp was organized in the premises of Government Primary School with the support of school students and officials.
“The village is neglected in all fronts and people are suffering from lot of health related problems. So we decided to organize the camp for benefit of poor and needy people,” the spokesman of the Society said in a statement.
The spokesman said the village is just four kms from Khrew-Shar link road. “However, it sans basic amenities including electricity, drinking water and proper roads. There is only one primary school there,” he said.
The society also appealed Government to take positive steps for the upliftment and development of Batadalow village. “There are 37 families who are in need immediate help from the Government,” he added.
