Legendary footballer

It was shocking to learn about the death of legendary football player of the  State, Farooq Bhat. Sad that it has gone unnoticed and so has gone the immense contribution he has made to the game. For a moment I was nostalgic about the days when the grounds used to be overcrowded to watch him display his talents. Just the other day I remembered him so fondly as I was watching a European Club game finding none of the 22 players even distantly matching the great Farooq. Hard to convince today's young men, for those were not the days when the game could be caught in a video. A huge loss of talent and a gentleman par excellence. May his soul rest in peace.
