Apropos’ news item “Pele of Kashmir” dated  May 20. It is very unfortunate and shocking to know about the sad demise of Farooq Saheb. I have played against JKRTC on many occasions while representing the S P College and Azam Sports, Srinagar, under Shri Yusuf Dar’s captaincy in those days. As a defender, right and left half back for these teams during early seventies I still remember his accuracy in stepping, dodging, straight shoots besides racing in the fields. I pray to the God Almighty  to grant Farooq's soul peace in heaven and strength to the bereaved family to bear the shock. I would request the State Sports Minister to name a football field and a trophy in his name.
