Delhi Ridders, Pounda Cricket Club thrash opponents
8TH GUFRAN MEMORIAL T-20 CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP
Doda, May 22: Delhi Ridders and Pounda Cricket Club (PCC) defeated Doda Indians and KBT Club Jammu (KBTCJ) in the ongoing All India 8th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship played at Sports Stadium here on Tuesday.
In the first match, after winning the toss, Doda Indians set a low target of 99 runs in stipulated 15 overs by losing their 9 wickets. Sajad Hussain was the highest scorer who scored 31 runs whereas Sadam contributed 19 runs for the team. From Delhi Ridders, Mohit and Devinder took 3 and 2 wickets.
In reply, Delhi Ridders managed to chase down the target in 12 overs by losing 3 wickets. Devinder Kohli and Raj Deep scored 56 and 17 runs for the team. From Doda Indians, Parveez and Sajad took 2 and 1 wickets.
In the second match, Pounda Cricket Club (PCC) won the toss and they opted to bat first. While batting they scored a total of 163 runs by losing all their wickets in 18.4 overs. Noor Khan and Babar scored 44 and 25 runs. From KBT Club Jammu, Irfan and Lucky took 3 and 2 wickets.
In reply, KBT Club Jammu could not manage to chase down the target and scored only 145 runs by losing their 9 wickets in 20 overs. Yasir and Hadayat Ullah scored 28 and 27 runs. From PCC, Masood and Noor Khan shared 2 wickets each.
