JK Bank, RBI team visits Tullamulla

Srinagar, May 22: With a view to make people aware about the Financial Inclusion programme, a team of officials of J&K Bank and RBI today visited Thiru, a village in Tullamulla.
The J&K Bank officials were led by Cluster Head (Ganderbal) Muhammad Amin Khan, while the team of RBI comprised Ramesh Chand (DGM), Ravinder Kumar Bhatt (AGM) and Dinesh Chander (Manager).
Marketing Team of the Cluster Ganderbal and B/U Head Tullamulla were also part of the awareness drive.
The visiting delegation met Sarpanch Muhammad Syed Sheikh, Chairman Intizamia Committee Muhammad Abdullah Sheikh, Vice Chairman Nazir Ahmad Kondu, Nambardar Ghulam Muhammad Sheikh and a large number of people present on the occasion.
Speaking at length about the seriousness of RBI regarding the programme of Financial Inclusion DGM, RBI Ramesh Chand briefed the gathering about the benefits of Smart Cards/Kissan Credit cards.
“We will conduct a Financial Awareness camp here in coordination with J&K Bank in July, where top officials of both the Banks will be present,” he announced.
He also visited the Khidmat Center of Tullamulla where he met VLE Asif Rasool Sofi. After interaction with the VLE he appreciated the role of J&K Bank in establishing the Khidmat Centers.
Cluster Head Muhammad Amin Khan also briefed the audience about the various awareness programmes conducted in district Ganderbal at Urpash, Sendbal, Tullamulla, Shalbugh, Takenwari, Chun Waliwar, Peerpura, Dursuma, Anderwan, Repora, Barsoo, Gund, Chattergul and Safapora.
The process, he said, will go on to make the people aware of Banks Financial Inclusion Plan.
