‘INSPIRE’ evokes good response
Srinagar, May 23: The valedictory function of five-day ‘INSPIRE’ Science Camp was held at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor of Central University Kashmir Prof Wahid Qureshi praised NIT for organizing such camps for the students of the Valley.
“More and more such camps should be organized to benefit younger generation,” he said.
V-C KU Prof Talat Ahmad stressed on students to choose science as their career.
“There is need to pursue career in science,” he said.
On the occasion, NIT Director Prof Rajat Gupta assured that all facilities will be put at disposal for the students.
Convener of the program Dr Shah Muhammad Ashraf said that 500 students were benefited from the program.
“There are global issues like energy , healthcare, water, food and environmental issues which needs to be addressed on priority for the sake of humanity. Science only can give valuable solutions to all the problems which the world is facing now,” he said. The vote of thanks was presented by Dr S Rubab co-convener of the program.
The five day camp is being sponsored by department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
