Army installs screen for traffic info

Srinagar, May 23: GOC 15 Corps Lt Gen SA Hasnain Wednesday inaugurated a LED screen in front of BB Cantonment here. 
 An Army spokesman said the LED screen has been specially installed by Project BEACON to inform people and tourists about the latest position of traffic regulation on Jammu-Srinagar Highway (NH 44) and other roads in the Valley.
 "The information would be displayed on hourly basis. Since the LED screen is regulated by an internet connection, the updates would be promptly displayed," the spokesman said. 
 Major Gen Rajesh Arya, COS 15 Corps and Major Gen PD Hallur, GOC 31 Sub Area along with Brig TPS Rawat, Chief Engineer, Project BEACON were also present during the inauguration ceremony.
