KPs THREATENS HUNGER STRIKE

Jammu, May 23: Accusing Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of failing to implement PM employment package for migrants, Kashmiri Pandits today threatened to re-start their hunger strike from June 5.
 "We warn the state government if they fail to fulfill the commitments made by Omar to us within 13 days, we will be forced to restart hunger strike from June 5 in Lal Chowk in Srinagar," Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) chief R K Bhat told reporters here.
 The 22-day-long strike, launched by KPs on March 13, was suspended on April 3 after state ministers Raman Bhalla and Nasir Aslam Wani assured them of implementing the PM employment package in toto.
 The government had also agreed for enhancing cash assistance in favour of relief holders and issuance of ordinance for protection of Shrine and Temples bill in JK legislature. "Over one month has passed and nothing has been done till date in this regard, putting question marks on the intentions of the government," Bhat said.
