10th annual HESP-2012 entrance test on May 27
Srinagar, May 24: The HESP-2012 Entrance Examination which was earlier scheduled to be held at Kashmir Government Polytechnic shall now be held at S P College, Maulana Azad Road, Srinagar.
The examination shall be held on May 27 at 12:30 P.M.
J&K Yateem Foundation, Srinagar is conducting the Annual 10th Higher Education Scholarship Programme HESP-2012.
300 candidates including 127 females from 12 districts in J&K will appear in the written examination, a statement here said today.
The roll numbers of the candidates will be on display at the Examination Centre on the date of the examination.
The candidates shall also be informed about the change of venue on their contact numbers.
The candidates appearing in the examination may seek relevant information on HESP Facilitation Helpline 0194-2312928 from 9:30 AM to 5 PM, and/or at mobile no. 9419014807 from 5 PM to 9:3 PM till May 27.

The result of the written examination shall be published in prominent dailies in Srinagar on June 17 while final selection list will be made public on July 23 in prominent dailies.
The total number of scholarships for year 2012 is 40 @ Rs 4000/ per annum per candidate. This will involve an amount of Rs 1.60 Lacs per year.
Since 2002, 400 scholarships have been awarded under HESP by J&K Yateem Foundation, involving an expenditure of over Rs 60.06 Lacs
Under another category titled HESP Professional started in 2004, J&K Yateem Foundation has awarded 18 scholarships @ Rs 10,000 per year, for pursuing professional courses. Under this programme fourteen candidates have completed professional courses under HESP Professional Programme with 05 in MBBS; 01 each in BVSc, BSc Nursing & MSc IT; 02 in BCA and 04 in B.Ed.
