DAK castigates Medical Superintendent
GB PANT MESS
Srinagar, May 24: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) Thursday criticized the newly appointed medical superintendent of GB Pant hospital for "victimizing the gynecologist of its Gynea unit.”
Terming it a "process of cover-up of administrative failures", the DAK president Dr Nisar-ul-Hassan said: "MS Dr Muneer Masoodi, Contractual, could not victimize senior gynecologist for the failures of the pediatrics unit. The medical fraternity has taken the wrong decision of the retired doctor seriously. Let the government institute a probe to fix the responsibility for the mess in the children hospital and thereafter punish the guilty."
Dr Nisar said the selection of "retired doctor as medical superintendent of GB Pant speaks of favoritism, nepotism and promoting adhocism in the department."
Dr Nisar alleged that there was "gross mismanagement and malfunction in the whole healthcare system. "The administration is trying to project that all is well, but in reality nothing is well. Administration is misinforming the government that all is in place but nothing is in place."
