Hospital chaos
The chaos and confusion at valleys lone children hospital, G B Panth Hospital, has resulted in trouble for tertiary staffers, such as cashier clerks, lab assistants and store keepers. They have been made to bear the brunt of disastrous infant mortality in the hospital. Their duty, however, is only to make transactions of payments, and for lab assistants, to conduct various tests. These employees have expressed shock at the treatment given to them, alleging that the blue eyed officials have not been touched by the authorities. Lab assistants say that they should have been punished had they ever been denied to perform their duty by not conducting a test, or had the conducted test been ever proved wrong. But it was sheer injustice to punish these poor employees by transferring them for the wrongs they never committed. Such hasty decisions taken by government have worried these employees and earned social disgrace for them. The higher authorities should do justice in their transfer cases by initiating a fresh probe into the matter.
