DISMAL MATRICULATION RESULT IN GOVT SCHOOLS
Private institutions bag all top slots, girls shine again

Jammu, May 25: The matriculation results declared today has presented a dismal picture of the government run schools as not a single student from these institutions could make to the merit list of 129 students who shared first 20 positions, while the girls have yet again outshined the boys by bagging maximum positions.
Maintaining the trend set in recently declared results of senior secondary and graduation, the girls outshined boys with 96 of them sharing the first twenty positions out of the list of 129 meritorious students.
The pass percentage was recorded at 55.56 per cent out of which 14721 were boys and 12283 girls, while a total of 48600 boys (26627 and girls (21973) had appeared in the examination.
