 MASTERS SCHOLARSHIPS
The International Water Centre (IWC) Masters Scholarships are currently open for candidates to study IWC Master of Integrated Water Management in 2013. IWC Masters Scholarships offer full-tuition (AU$44,400) and are currently open until 1 August 2012. The International Water Centre (IWC) awards scholarships to outstanding candidates who are accepted into the IWC Master of Integrated Water Management (MIWM). Full-tuition (valued at AU$ 44,400) for full-time or part-time/distance study of the Master of Integrated Water Management. Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for international students.
The scholarship is available to eligible Australian and international applicants to study the IWC Master of Integrated Water Management (MIWM) program.

UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION RESEARCH AWARD 2012 - 14
The University Grants Commission invites Applications for the RESEARCH AWARD OF 100 SLOTS FOR THE BLOCK YEAR 2012-14 from the permanent-Teachers having Ph.D. in their respective subjects and not more than 45 years of age at the time of submission of application form. In case of Women, SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer), Physically Handicapped, Minorities, the age limit shall be 50 years. JAWAHARLAL NEHRU SCHOLARSHIPS FOR DOCTORAL STUDIES
The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund offers SCHOLARSHIPS for upto 2 years from January 2013 to Indian Nationals and Nationals of other Asian countries for Ph.D. studies in India.
Eligibility: Minimum 60% marks in Master’s degree, age beiow 35 years, full-time Ph.D. scholar, registered in a recognized Indian University, having valid GATE/NET score.
Fields of study: Science & Technology, Religion & Culture, Sociology, Indian History, Economics, Environment and Nehru Studies
Monthly stipend: Rs.12,000/-, annual contingency upto Rs.15,000/-. Application form can be obtained from Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund, Teen Murti House, New Delhi - 110011 on cash payment of Rs.100/-. If downloaded from website, the fee of Rs.100/- be deposited at any branch of State Sank of India SB A/c.No. 30666380015 and deposit slip sent with the completed application form. CLIMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE  OFFERS JOURNALISM FELLOWSHIPS
The Climate Change Media Partnership offers a fellowship program that will send journalists from developing countries to the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Doha, Qatar in late 2012.
The fellowship will enable journalists to cover the summit for their home media organizations, work with experienced and knowledgeable journalists from around the world and gain a multifaceted understanding of climate change’s global impact.
The fellowship covers travel, lodging and meals and includes press accreditation, an orientation session, breakfast briefings, a field trip and a media clinic.
Applicants must demonstrate a passion for environmental reporting and have proven support from an editor or supervisor.

REUTERS OFFERS COURSE IN  BROADCAST JOURNALISM
Broadcast journalists can apply for a five-day course in London.
Reuters offers “Making Television News, a free course led by Reuters senior journalists that teach creative approaches to producing TV news stories. Subjects include research, writing for TV, camera work and editing.
Journalists from developing countries with no training resources are eligible for full scholarships, including travel expenses, accommodation and a modest stipend. Journalists from developing countries with limited training resources are eligible for partial scholarships, which covers course tuition costs.
Applicants must currently work as a journalist or regular contributor to broadcast media organizations. They must be able to demonstrate a commitment to a career in journalism in their country, must have at least two years’ professional experience and have a good level in spoken and written English.
Submit a brief bio, two work samples and a statement of interest by May 29.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOURNALISM  GRANT OPEN
Journalists worldwide can apply for US$3,500 grants to report on environmental projects and entrepreneurial ventures around the globe.
The Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) offers grants to provide incentives and support to journalists who are building an environmental platform and are struggling financially to complete the project.
The funds should serve to cover project-related travel, training, research materials, environmental testing and other direct expenses that pertain to the completion of the project.
Both SEJ members and non-members are able to apply for the grants, as long as their work is within the journalism field.
All applications must be submitted by July 15, 2012
