708 cases taken up in Bla Mega Lok Adalat
Baramulla: As a part of Mega Lok Adalat Week, Lok Adalats are being held in District Court Baramulla and other subordinate Courts of the district under the Chairmanship of District Legal Services Authority and Principal District and Sessions Judge Baramulla Muhammad Shafi Khan.
708 cases of different nature including the matrimonial disputes, bank recovery cases, family disputes, criminal compoundable cases, under- trial cases, civil and other pre-litigation matters have been taken up in the Lok Adalat.
509 cases were settled amicably and a fine of seven lakhs rupees were recovered from the defaulters in bank recovery cases and fine of Rs 96,000 was realized under the Motor Vehicle Act.
The Lok Adalat shall continue till May 31.
