ARMY HOLDS MEDICAL CAMP

Srinagar, May 26: Army on Saturday said that it organized a medical camp at Yarmugam(Anderwan), Ganderbal in central Kashmir.
 “The camp was organized by 5 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion (JAT) under the guidance of Headquarter 3 Sector Rashtriya Rifles. Army doctors, two local civil doctors including a lady doctor participated in the Medical Camp.  Local villagers turned up in large numbers for consultation.  A total of 1160 patients were treated by Army and civilian doctors where medicines worth more than Rupees 2.5 lakhs were distributed,” an Army spokesman said.
 He said the Officiating Commanding Officer 5 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion (JAT) interacted with the locals and promised to conduct of more such camps in remote areas.
