No wages

The frequent hartal calls given by the so called trade union leaders to press their  what they call `genuine demands' has become a fashion especially in Kashmir valley. This is because these hartals have never proved fruitful neither for the government employees and nor for common people. The trade union leaders have no idea how people suffer because of this. The recent call for three days hartal has affected many areas of our social life, but the first casualty is the education of our children. The only hope is that the government should act with all might and with all constitutional powers like “ASMA” to ensure work culture in all departments especially in education. Educational Institutions need to be brought under the cover  of essential services Act. Let there be `no work, no wages'
