Yateem Foundation conducts entrance for 10th HESP
Srinagar, May 27: J&K Yateem Foundation today conducted the entrance examination for its 10th Annual Higher Education Scholarship Programme at S P College, here.
300 candidates including 127 female from 12 districts in J&K appeared in the examination.
Candidates from Srinagar, Budgam, Kupwara, Baramullah, Bandipora, Pulwama, Shopian, Islamabad (Anantnag), Kulgam, Ganderbal, Jammu and Kargil appeared in the test.
“J&K Yateem Foundation in collaboration with S.P. College Management had made adequate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the examination,” a JKYF handout here said.
“Different teams of superintendents, supervisors, volunteers and other staff from different districts associated with J&K Yateem Foundation conducted all the activities with facilitation from the College management,” it said.
The total number of scholarships for 2012 is 40 at the rate of Rs 4000 per annum per candidate. This will involve an expenditure of Rs 1.60 lakh.
