Hasnain, Khoda co-chair Core Group meet

Srinagar, May 28: The General Officer Commanding of Chinar Corps Lt Gen SA Hasnain, and the Security Advisor, and Director General of Police (DGP) Kuldeep Khoda co-chaired the core group meeting at Badami Bagh Cantonment here on Monday, army’s Srinagar based spokesman said.
 He said senior officers of Army, Police, CRPF, BSF, Intelligence Agencies and civil administration attended the meeting.
 While addressing the meeting, Lt Gen Hasnain recalled the contributions of the DGP Kuldeep Khoda towards security in Jammu and Kashmir over the last 20 years in various capacities and complimented the forces and intelligence agencies on the high level of synergy and commitment in attending to the security needs of the Valley. “Humane approach of all and one has acted as the major enabler of peace,” the GOC said.
 The DGP while addressing the gathering, reflected similar sentiments and elaborated on the key security issues. “Officers from various forces presented the analytical inputs on the internal and external dimensions of security and reviewed the security arrangements in place based on the ground situation. This was followed by a detailed discussion on the preparations and the administrative, security and hardship mitigation issues for Amarnath Yatra. Additional areas of mutual coordination and assistance were also identified for taking the peace forward,” the spokesman added.
