KU team conducts surprise inspection of B.Ed colleges
Srinagar, May 28: A team of the officials from University of Kashmir conducted surprise checks of various private colleges here and in north Kashmir’s Sopore town, a KU spokesman said on Monday.
“In continuation of its policy to ensure quality education and academic standards in the private sector colleges, the KU team comprising Dean College Development Council and Professors, Directors, Heads of various departments and faculties of KU conducted surprise inspections of Sarfaraz College of Education, Nowgam and SEM College of Education, Humhama in Srinagar and other private Colleges in Sopore town,” he said.
“The team members had an exhaustive interaction with the students pursuing B.Ed, BBA and BCA in these colleges. They, on the spot, made observations about the attendance of the students in the colleges and also took stock of the salary of the faculty recruited for the purpose. The students and the staff appreciated the role of the University in keeping the colleges under the constant academic surveillance and desired the University to carry forward such inspections in the future too,” the spokesman added.
