Skillful artisans to get awards
Srinagar, May 2: In a bid to encourage them, government will give awards to skillful artisans in different crafts for 2012-13.
According to Public Relations Officer, Directorate of Handicrafts, Reyaz Kawoosa, applications have been invited from the craftsmen in this regard.
He said the application forms are available free of cost in the office of Development Officer (NT) Kashmir Haat, Exhibition Ground Srinagar and in the office of Joint Director Handicrafts Jammu.
Applications are also available in the offices of Assistant Directorate of Handicrafts spread throughout the length and breadth of the J&K state.
To mention, meritorious craftsmen who have already received first prize at national or state level are not eligible to apply.
