Azad hails Kargil people for staying away from militancy

Kargil, May 29: Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Tuesday hailed people of Kargil and adjoining areas for staying away from militancy and helping Army during Kargil war.
Addressing a gathering here, Azad said, “I thank you people for staying away from militancy and playing a great role during 1999 Kargil war.”
He also thanked local doctors of Kargil district for hard work they put in during harsh winter months.
Haji Asgar Karbalya presented the memorandum to Azad saying, “Congress workers are facing discrimination and humiliation due to the step motherly treatment being meted out to them by NC ministers.”
