Imposters seeking financial help on late Izhar’s name: Family
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, May 29: Haji Ghulam Rasool Wani father of renowned Kashmiri journalist late Izhar Ahmed Wani has expressed shock over a few unscrupulous persons visiting various people to seek financial help for Izhar’s family.
“It is very painful for me to know that some well wishers have already fallen prey to such most shady, repulsive and condemnable campaign which is only embarrassing for me and other family members,” Haji Ghulam Rasool Wani told Greater Kashmir.
Ironically, a youth who is in the forefront of the malevolence is claiming and introducing himself as late Izhar’s younger brother.
“I find myself helpless in this awful situation yet I apologize to those who have been fleeced by the fraudulent individuals and will also like to inform them and all others that late Izhar has only one brother Israr Ahmed Wani. It is also learnt that Facebook and some other social networking sites are being misused to further this loathsome activity too,” Wani said. “We’re not in need of any financial help at all. Allah (SWT) has always been benevolent rather bestowed us with more than sufficient and what we needed and we strongly believe in Him being the sustainer”.
He wished to caution all friends and well-wishers of his late son and his family that in case any one approaches them or they have already been talked to by anyone with the call for extending financial assistance to the family, they should immediately contact him on his mobile 9419075955 or his son and late Izhar’s younger brother Israr Ahmed Wani on 9419004343.
