Srinagar, May 30: Commissioner, Commercial Taxes Department, Kifayat Rizvi today urged the traders and stakeholders to make use of web portal www.jkcomtax.gov.in/JKPortal/.
 “The portal of Commercial Taxes Department (CTD) offers various Value Added Services to the taxpayers,” he said.
 Rizvi said the portal gives basic information about CTD-functions, its activities and its hierarchy.
 He said the portal also contains information about Acts, Rules and tax schedules.
 He said the traders can download forms, commodity lists and tax rates, various circulars, notifications, amendments to tax laws, orders etc.
 He said the users can find information about their registration details.
 He said the portal provides facility of online submission of forms for registration under VAT, making Tax Payments Electronically via Banks, etc.
 “The department is also providing some limited e-facilities to the dealers which include facility for obtaining new registration (TIN) electronically and amendments, facility for filing returns electronically, facility for filing Check post Declarations Electronically for inter-state trades, facility for requesting for CST forms electronically and facility for requesting for refunds.”
 The stake holders can also approach the toll free help desk number 18001800040 for any clarifications regarding service that are available on the departmental website.
