Div Com reviews dev works in Sopore town
Sopore, May 3: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon today visited Sopore town and conducted a public meeting at Dak Bungalow.
The Divisional Commissioner while presiding over the public darbar heard the people’s demands and problems and resolved some of these on the spot.
On the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner was informed progress of various works at Sopore college ground, water supply scheme at Mehrajpora, besides restoration of irrigation facilities in the adjoining areas of Sopore Tehsil.
He was further informed that Rs. 2 crore is being spent on the repair and renovation of the College play ground.
Later, the Divisional Commissioner attended the medical camp at Agriculture College Wadura, organised by the Health department and inaugurated the blood donation camp there.
Among others, the Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, officers of various departments besides representatives of civil society, trade unions and Panchayat members were present.
