Gandhi College organises cross-country run

Srinagar, May 3: The Gandhi Memorial College organised its 39th annual cross-country run for boys from Nehru Park to Nishat Garden here on Wednesday.
 The run was flagged off by the college Principal, Professor S Rabia Firdous and in it around 50 students of college participated.
 Ashfaq Majeed of BA second year finished first while Nasir Ali of BA second year and Zahoor Ahmad of BA first year finished second and third respectively. Two consolation prizes were given to Adil Farooq of BA second year and Muhammad Irfan Bhat of B.Com first year.
 The prize distribution ceremony was held at Nishat garden in which winners were awarded.
 Speaking on the occasion principal highlighted the importance of co-curricular and extra curricular activities and impressed upon the students to actively participate in such events.
