Reprehensible act

The police action against the members of civil society who had gathered in Lal Chowk to protest indifferent attitude of government towards dog menace is reprehensible. Coming in the wake of growing number of people falling victims to dog bites every day, the government should have swung into action and taken measures to alleviate miseries of common man. Instead, it even thwarts any peaceful protest which shows that it more concerned about animal rights than human rights.
