AS College organises annual road race

Srinagar, May 4: The Amar Singh (AS) College Srinagar organised its annual college road race from Nehru Park to Nishat Garden here on Friday.
The event was flagged off by the college Principal Prof. Zahoor Ahmad Chatt and around 120 students of different departments participated in it.
Billal Ahmad of BA first year finished first with the timing of 23 minutes while Ajaz Ahmad Najar of BA second year finished second with the timing of 28 minutes. Sajad Ahmad of BA final year finished third with the timing of 29.35 minutes.
The prize distribution ceremony was held at the Nishat garden in which Principal distributed prizes among the winners.
In his address, he highlighted the importance of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and impressed upon the students to show physical as well as mental balance in the event of road racing.
