Batamaloo school hosts Philately exhibition
Srinagar, May 4: Kashmir School Stamp Show was inaugurated Friday at Govt Higher Secondary School Batamaloo by John Samuel, Chief Post Master General, J&K Circle.
This exhibition displays more than 5000 rare stamps from India and abroad. Stamps on Lady Diana, Harry Potter, Animal Kingdom, special cover collection are major attractions.
As a part of this, a special postal cover on the school was released by Chief Post Master General. Moomina Qadir, the school principal appreciated the role played by the Department of Posts is spreading philately among school children.
Chief Post Master General announced the establishment of a Philately Room at the school, an official handout said.
