Girl found dead in Ganderbal forest

Srinagar, May 4: An 18-year-old girl, who had gone missing, was found dead in a forest area in Ganderbal district of north Kashmir today, police said.
The body of Shahnaza was recovered by a police party in the forest area of Razzen near her village, a police spokesman said.
He said she had gone to the forest to tend her cattle yesterday but did not return, following which her parents reported the matter to the police.
"We started a search in the forest along with the girl's family and later found her dead," the spokesman said.
Quoting preliminary investigations, he said Shahnaza's death proved to be of "accidental nature".
